Media

In my capacity as author of the ANUpoll series of public opinion surveys, I regularly appear in local and national media speaking on a range of political and social issues.

Throughout the 2016 federal election campaign, I appeared in the ANU’s weekly ‘Off the Hill‘ election panel, alongside Dr Ryan Goss and Dr Andrew Hughes.

In 2015, I co-ordinated a major survey on social class in Australia, which was accompanied by an online quiz on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation website. Following the success of this project I was awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Advancing the Reputation of the University in 2015.

I have also previously written for The Conversation and The Drum, and regularly appear on 666 ABC Canberra.

I have commented on ANUpoll surveys, Australian political behaviour, and Australian elections in a range of outlets, including The Australian, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation radio, television and online news, The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, CNN, BBC, and The New York Times. I am a regular contributor to ABC Radio Canberra’s morning show. I have received numerous commendations from the ANU’s Strategic Communications and Public Affairs division for my media engagement, including the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Advancing the Reputation of the University in 2015.
